Innovative CollChain project improves high-tech supply chains
In the CollChain project, ASML, Thermo Fisher Scientific and TU Eindhoven are working to optimize high-tech supply chains through faster and more efficient value chains.

On August 20th the Innovation Technology Entrepreneurship & Marketing and Information Systems research groups at Eindhoven University of Technology (果冻传媒) launched the groundbreaking CollChain project. This project, a collaboration between ASML, Thermo Fisher Scientific and 果冻传媒, focuses on optimizing high-tech supply chains. The goal is to create a faster and more efficient value chain for all supply chain partners. CollChain is an initiative of LINK magazine, aimed at strengthening the competitive position of the Dutch high-tech supply chain.
Faster and better
The CollChain project responds to the increasing product complexity and dynamic environment in which high-tech companies operate. By exploring innovative forms of collaboration, the project aims to accelerate and improve the value chain. This is crucial for companies such as ASML and Thermo Fisher Scientific, which operate in a sector where speed and efficiency are key.
Collaboration and innovation
Cooperation between academia and industry is a core aspect of the CollChain project. By joining forces with ASML and Thermo Fisher Scientific, TU Eindhoven is able to draw on practical experience and expertise from industry. This ensures a fruitful exchange of knowledge and ideas, leading to innovative solutions to complex supply chain challenges.

Researchers involved
N茅omie Raassens leads the project and is responsible for the empirical research part of the project. She and her team map out the conditions under which collaboration between suppliers and customers is successful and translate that into usable collaboration models. Remco Dijkman is responsible for developing the conceptual models and using data-driven methods to optimize supply chains according to the new collaboration models. Several master's students and two doctoral students will also be involved in the research.
Efficient value chain is essential
Optimizing supply chains is of great importance to the high-tech industry. In a world where product life cycles are becoming shorter and shorter and the demand for advanced technologies is increasing, an efficient value chain is essential. The CollChain project contributes to strengthening the competitive position of the companies involved and the broader high-tech sector.
Future prospects
The CollChain project has the potential to have a significant impact on the way high-tech supply chains are managed. By developing new methods and technologies, companies can operate faster and more efficiently, ultimately leading to better products and services for end users.
The project therefore marks an important step toward optimized high-tech supply chains. The cooperation between ASML, Thermo Fisher Scientific and TU Eindhoven will realize a faster and more efficient value chain, which is of great importance for the dynamic and complex environment in which high-tech companies operate. The results of this project will not only benefit the companies involved, but also strengthen the broader high-tech sector.
