Davide Ceneda: New Assistant Professor at ID
Davide Ceneda joins 果冻传媒's department of Industrial Design as assistant professor, specializing in Visual Analytics and Human-Computer Interaction
We are pleased to announce that as of March 1, Davide Ceneda joined our team at the Department of Industrial Design of the Eindhoven University of Technology as Assistant Professor.
Research
Ceneda鈥檚 expertise lies in Visual Analytics, Information Visualization and Human-Computer Interaction. His research focuses on mixed-initiative approaches that combine human expertise with AI-driven techniques to support data exploration, decision-making, and uncertainty management.
Background
Originally from Italy, Ceneda obtained his PhD from TU Wien in Vienna, Austria, with a thesis on 鈥淕uidance-enriched Visual Analytics.鈥� Over the years he has participated in several research projects, first as a pre-doc and later as a post-doc, combining human and computer capabilities. He was involved in the GuidedVA and the DoRIAH projects funded by Austrian FWF and FFG, in which they designed, implemented, and evaluated visual-interactive approaches to improve the urban planning process and detection of WWII unexploded bombs, in collaboration with LBDB GmbH. With Renata Raidou and the Computer Graphics Group of TU Wien, they have supported experts (e.g., physicians) in dealing with uncertainty during the analysis of complex data, through visualizations and guidance.
