PhD Defense: Acetal-containing polyols for use in circular polyurethanes

Patrick Schara defended his PhD thesis at the department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry on 26 March 2025.
Patrick obtained his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering and chemistry in 2018 and his master's degree in 2021, from Eindhoven University of Technology. During his masters, he specialized in Molecular Systems & Materials Chemistry, completing a master's thesis on the influence of polymer binders on the surface segregation of additives in coatings under the supervision of Catarina Esteves in the Physical Chemistry group.
He completed his PhD in the Polymer Performance Materials (SPP) group under the supervision of Prof. 沤eljko Tomovi膰 and will continue his postdoctoral research in the same group starting April 2025.
