11 PhD researchers will be trained to develop breakthroughs in terahertz sensing, photonics, and biomedicine. The mission is to develop:

  • A modular system to interpret THz biosensors - translating biological signals in real time
  • An integrated photonic THz sensor for early disease detection
  • A revolutionary organ-on-chip model to test real-world medical applications

These innovations are more than technology — it’s about transforming and saving lives with early disease detection, personalized medicine and better patient outcomes. With medical industry leaders, we are ensuring that cutting-edge research translates into real-world healthcare solutions.

And collaboration is at the heart of this project. When we unite expertise, we accelerate progress. Together, we are not just developing technology — we are writing the next chapter of European excellence in science and human care.
