IE&IS joins 果冻传媒's High Tech Systems Center
IE&IS joins 果冻传媒's HTSC to collaborate on strategic roadmaps and enhance the high-tech industry with academic competencies.

As of January 1, 2025, IE&IS will join the High Tech Systems Center (HTSC). This means that we will support the goals of this 果冻传媒-wide initiative with our expertise and commitment.
The HTSC is an independent center that combines the strengths of several departments within the 果冻传媒, including Mathematics and Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering, together with the AI research institute EAISI. Together they form a powerful network of more than 20 research teams and 400 researchers, collaborating with high-tech industry to improve performance and increase labor productivity.
From IE&IS, both researchers and project development officers will join so that all IE&IS research themes are represented: Supply Chain Management, Sustainability and Circularity, Value of Data-Driven Intelligence, and Humans & Technology. The first roadmap to collaborate on is the Semiconductor Equipment roadmap, where the IE&IS will contribute with topics such as circularity, workforce diversity, remanufacturing and reuse.
Dean Geert-Jan van Houtum looks forward to the collaboration: 鈥This gives us the opportunity to expand our research projects and test and evaluate our themes in practice at more high-tech companies. Together with industry and the other departments, we will develop strategic roadmaps, identifying long-term challenges and using our academic competencies to realize them.鈥
This alliance fits perfectly with our mission to integrate social sciences and humanities with engineering research to create high quality impact for today's industry, government and societal challenges. We welcome the chance to expand our impact and contribute to advancements in the high-tech industry.鈥
