Securing accommodation is your own responsibility. Every year, thousands of students begin their search for housing at the same time. Like most other cities in the Netherlands, Eindhoven also faces a shortage of affordable (student) housing. We therefore strongly recommend starting your search well in advance. Start searching as early as April if you plan to start your studies in September.

Are you coming to Eindhoven as an exchange student for 1 or 2 full semesters? Then you can apply for housing via Mobility Online. Please note that there is only a very limited number of rooms available via our housing service at housing partner Vestide.
Nomination for a one-time housing offer goes through your exchange department.
Nominated via your department for a one-time priority account for housing? This is for a furnished single room with shared facilities. The Housing Officer of the International Office will provide you information on the further procedure.
As an exchange student, you will have to pay Vestide the full semester + one-off costs directly at booking via creditcard or Paypal.
Not nominated via your department for a one-time priority account for housing? You will receive a message from the department that will process your request. You will then have to make your own housing arrangements outside our housing service.
The Housing Officer of the International Office will automatically place you on the reserve list. This list is however not a guarantee for housing, since we will only notify a student, after nomination of the department, in case one of the rooms is not booked.
We advise you to look for temporary housing yourself, also in case that you are nominated for housing and you decide not to make use of our offer. To help you get started, you will find a number of tips on this page.
HOUSING FOR EngD AND PHD
Vestide has a very limited number of 1 person and 2 person* accommodations available for PhD and EngD students. We therefore advise you to look for housing yourself.
*Only suitable for 2 adults. We do not offer family accommodations and will have to forward you to the private market in case you are coming with your child(ren).
