Research Profile
Physics of the individual nanostructures is at the heart of our research. We investigate a wide range of the available nano objects ranging from the confinement in two dimensions to the extreme limit of zero-dimensional quantum dots. Current topics of the research include spin manipulation in individual magnetic impurities, spin-correlated currents in quantum dots and physics of the colloidal perovskite nanocrystals. This research is carried out in strong collaboration with Paul Koenraad. Our ultimate goal is to exploit the properties of the nanoscale objects for the future telecom technologies.
