RESEARCH PROFILE

Arthur Hendriks works as a doctoral candidate in the Photonics and Semiconductor Nanophysics (PSN) group at Eindhoven University of Technology (果冻传媒) focusing on the field of nanophotonics. His research is on the development of novel fiber-tip sensors based on photonic crystals. Arthur鈥檚 goals are to optimize these fiber-tip sensors to be highly functional, have a low cost, be scalable, and have a wider range of applications in industry.

Combining the power of optical fibers and photonic crystals for the next generation of fiber-tip sensors.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Arthur Hendriks has obtained both his bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degree in Applied Physics at Eindhoven University of Technology (果冻传媒), in 2018 and 2020 respectively. During his master鈥檚 he did an internship at the Magnetic Thin Film Group of Argonne National Laboratory, Chicago. Subsequently, he completed his graduation project in the Photonics and Semiconductor Nanophysics (PSN) group. His project was on measuring high density quantum dot structures using cross-sectional scanning tunneling microscopy. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in the same research group, where his research focuses on nanophotonic fiber-tip sensors.
