RESEARCH PROFILE
The electrification of airport ground fleets and aircraft is a promising strategy to reduce emissions in the aviation sector. The existence of charging infrastructure that does not overwhelm local power grids and provides clean energy is a crucial prerequisite for this major challenge.
In my PhD project I devise optimization and control frameworks to implement electric regional air mobility networks, size electric airport infrastructure, and schedule ground service vehicles and aircraft to have their energy demands met. My research contributes to a sustainable future of aviation that leverages synergies with existing mobility solutions and national power grids.
