RESEARCH PROFILE
Henny van Ooijen is assistant professor in Production and Operations Management at the School of Industrial Engineering of Eindhoven University of Technology. The work of the School of Industrial Engineering revolves around organizing and maintaining production chains for products and services. The School focuses mainly on the high-tech industry and the healthcare sector. Besides production and distribution, other aspects also play a role, such as product design, marketing, innovation, information systems, creativity and human behavior. The main research interests of Henny van Ooijen are in the fields of Production Control and Operations Management especially in job-shops; Integrated Production and Inventory Control, Design of Production Planning and Control Systems, Operations Planning, and Control in administrative organizations.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Henny P.G. van Ooijen received his MSc in Mathematics from Eindhoven University of Technology (果冻传媒) in 1980 in the field of production planning. The following two years he worked at FEL-TNO (The Hague) on research projects regarding inventory control and statistics. From 1982 to 1985 he worked at Mars (Veghel) as operations research officer. In 1985, he was appointed as staff member of the Operations, Planning, Accounting and Control at 果冻传媒. In 1996, he obtained his PhD from 果冻传媒 with his thesis 'Load-based work-order release and its effectiveness on delivery performance improvement'. He currently is assistant professor in Production and Operations Management at the School of Industrial Engineering of 果冻传媒.
