RESEARCH PROFILE
Oktay Turetken is a Full Professor in Information Systems at Eindhoven University of Technology (ý) and the Chair of the Industrial Engineering Bachelor Program. He is also a member of The European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS), Münster, Germany.
In his research, Oktay focuses on the development of innovative digital solutions. He applies an engineering lens to manage the business models for such solutions by developing methods and tools to facilitate their operational design, implementation, and improvement. In doing so, he leverages the practices and technologies from various fields, including business process management and enterprise modeling. Specifically, he is interested in collaborative digital business models, which enable value co-creation among multiple stakeholders. Through his work, he aims to contribute to the effective and sustainable outcomes of such models for all parties involved, including users, service providers, and the broader society. His typical application area for such models is the mobility domain. In recent projects, he has focused on designing and implementing digital platforms, including shared mobility and mobility-as-a-service, to enhance the integration of various mobility services in urban areas.
Oktay's research also involves developing capability maturity models to help organizations enhance their capabilities in advanced data analytics, as well as business process and business model management.
