As Joint Project Officer for Mechanical Engineering & High Tech Systems Center, Robert supports researchers with realizing their goals. He identifies strategic opportunities, connects academia with industry, and builds collaborative consortia that align with both national and international innovation objectives.

Robert's personal research and professional interests include high-tech system design and robotics. Additionally, he is passionate about the management aspects of innovation and technology, with a particular focus on open innovation.

While Robert supports all research within Mechanical Engineering, he focuses primarily on the Dynamic Systems Division. He serves as a bridge between the High Tech Systems Center and the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Robert de Bruijne studied Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2019. In 2023, he completed a double Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Innovation Management. During his Master鈥檚 studies, Robert was awarded the prestigious ASML Technology Scholarship.

He also gained valuable industry experience in the high-tech sector through his part-time role as a mechatronics engineer at Nobleo Technology and the startup he has co-founded.
