ACCIDENT FREE MOBILITY
Our mobility is currently enabled by a road transport system that is far from sustainable with far too many fatalities and injuries. The digitalization of vehicles and transport services offers a huge potential to improve this, but only if a systems perspective is taken. Our goal is to significantly contribute to speed up the transition towards an accident free mobility system.

The Mobility lab aims to advance perception technology such that mobile systems become able to understand – and not merely sense – the environment that they operate in. Understanding is the basis for hypothesizing and anticipating on possible future events and thus the basis for planning safe and effective actions.
It is our ambition to create value for all people in the fields of Mobility, by connecting ground-breaking scientific research, translating into Mobility applications. This is done via program lines which reflect the main innovation and Mobility research areas in the market. In particular, the focus is on computer vision, sensor fusion and world modelling for automated driving.
ICAI is a Dutch network aimed at technology and talent development between knowledge institutes, industry, and government in the area of artificial intelligence.
