Robert-Jan Smits

Robert-Jan Smits is the President of the Eindhoven University of Technology. As President he believes that universities must seek a stronger connection with and relevance to society and its challenges. He holds an honorary degree from Edinburgh University, is a honorary member of Academia Europaea and is a Fellow of the International Science Council.

Prof. Aida Todri-Sanial

Aida Todri-Sanial is currently a Full Professor in Electrical Engineering Department at Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands and Director of Research for the French National Council of Scientific Research (CNRS). Her research interests focus on emerging technologies and novel computing paradigms such as neuromorphic and quantum computing.

Prof. Silvia Lenaerts

Since May 2023, Silvia Lenaerts has been ¹û¶³´«Ã½'s new rector magnificus, the fifteenth since the university was founded. And the first woman in that position of any technical university in the Netherlands. She holds a large number of administrative positions in academia and beyond, including on the Governing Board of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).

Christophe Fouquet

Christophe Fouquet, French national, President & CEO of ASML and member of the Board of Management since 2018. He joined ASML in 2008 and has held several management positions in marketing and product management. Christophe holds a Masters’ degree in physics from the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble, France and has more than 25 years’ experience in the Semiconductor Industry.

Paul Verhagen

Paul Verhagen was appointed as member of the Management Board and CFO at ASM International from June 1, 2021. He made a career within Royal Philips – starting in the early 90s until 2013. Paul is a non-executive director of ASMPT, a member of the supervisory board of Delft University of Technology and a member of the supervisory board of football club PSV.

Rob Frijns

Rob Frijns is Vice President R&D at NXP Semiconductors. He has 35 years experience in the Semiconductor industry in management positions in Research & Development, Manufacturing and Design Platforms. In his current role as CTO Chief of Staff he is driving R&D efficiency and Program Management at NXP. Rob obtained his master degree in Applied Physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology.

Paul de Bot

Mr. Paul de Bot is President of TSMC Europe. Mr. Paul de Bot joined TSMC in 2015, and after roles in account management, was appointed General Manager EMEA in 2022 and President in 2024, responsible for the TSMC business in Europe and Israel. Prior to joining TSMC, Mr. Paul de Bot had further executive roles in the software industry and in corporate finance.

Prof. Martijn Heck

Martijn Heck has a PhD in electrical engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands, on the topic of photonic integration, where he is currently a full professor (since 2020) and the Scientific Director of the Eindhoven Hendrik Casimir Institute (since 2021).

Geert Hellings

Dr. Geert Hellings has been with imec since 2007, working on GalliumNitride, high-mobility transistors, ESD and Reliability before joining the Design-Technology-Co-Optimization Program in 2020. Since 2022, he is the Program Director for the integrated DTCO Program. The main research topics are Logic Scaling for CFET and beyond-CFET, and DTCO for emerging memory technologies.

Valeria Bragaglia

Valeria Bragaglia is a physicist specialized in condensed matter. Since 2018 she has been a Research Scientist at IBM Research Europe – Zurich, focusing on devices and systems for beyond Von Neumann computing. She leads the Resistive – Random Access Memory (ReRAM) effort and also works on Phase Change Memories (PCM) and Ferroelectric – RAM technologies.

Prof. Yuan-Chieh Tseng

Prof. Y. C. Tseng is the Associate Dean of the International College of Semiconductor Technology (ICST), NYCU. He is appointed as the CEO of the office of semiconductor international collaboration, with a role engaging NYCU’s semiconductor programs with its global partners. He is a three-time recipient of NYCU's highest teaching honor award and this achievement is listed in the university's history.

David Castells-Rufas

David Castells-Rufas was working as research assistant and Post-doc researcher with CEPHIS/CAIAC research center of the UAB from 2003 to 2018. In 2022 he joined Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where he is actually a Visitor Researcher. In 2023, he joined the Microlectronics & Electronic Systems Department of UAB as a Tenure Track Professor.

Dr. Shihab Al-Daffaie

Since February 2023 Shihab Al-Daffaie became the Focus Area Leader of Integrated Remote Sensing Systems at Eindhoven Hendrik Casimir Institute (EHCI). His research focuses on using nano-optoelectronics, -materials, and -technologies in the semiconductor integration field for extremely high-frequency devices targeting various applications in communications and sensing.

Sjoerd Verduyn Lunel

Sjoerd Verduyn Lunel is Head of Scanner Research at ASML and professor by special appointment at Utrecht University. His research interests include applications of mathematics in industrial context with emphasis on data science, dynamical systems, inverse problems, and (stochastic) time-delayed feedback control theory. He is co-author of two influential books on differential delay equations.

Dr. Vina Faramarzi

Vina Faramarzi is a technologist and researcher in ASML. Her work is focused on advanced patterning solutions for emerging semiconductor device technologies. She collaborates closely with research organizations as Imec and several academic institutes across Europe.

Erwin Kessels

Erwin Kessels is a full professor at the Department of Applied Physics of Eindhoven University of Technology (¹û¶³´«Ã½). He is also the scientific director of the NanoLab@¹û¶³´«Ã½ facilities which provides full-service and open-access clean room infrastructure for R&D in nanotechnology.

Glavine Yeh

Mr. Glavine Yeh is Program Manager, in charge of FinFET university program at TSMC Europe. Prior to this role, Mr. Yeh was Technical Manager, focusing on embedded non-Volatile Memory (eNVM) technologies and successfully driving eNVM technologies as the most important growing business at TSMC Europe.

Kuo-Hsing (Frank) Kao

Kuo-Hsing (Frank) Kao is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at NCKU, Taiwan. He joins TSMC as a researcher in 2024. His research interests include advanced device technology, material modeling, and device simulation, device electrical characterization at cryogenic temperatures, and cryogenic devices for high-performance computing and quantum computing.

Luc Augustin

Luc Augustin received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology. He is the CTO of SMART Photonics, where he is responsible for the technology roadmap, strategy and R&D. His expertise is in photonics, fabrication and characterisation of InP photonic integrated circuits.

Guy Backner

Guy Backner is an experienced professional in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as Chief of Operations at SMART Photonics. With a background in engineering and management, Guy has held various leadership roles at companies such as Philips, ColorChip, and Tower Semiconductor.

Dr. Jean Schreurs

Dr. Jean Schreurs is Executive Director of NXP Semiconductors Netherlands since 2020. He represents NXP in The Netherlands to (local) governments, educational and research institutions, media and in various partnerships. Jean is actively involved in various sustainability initiatives that NXP is developing in The Netherlands and is a board member of NXP subsidiaries in and outside The Netherlands, as well as of various triple helix and charity organisations.

Dr. Arnoud van der Wel

Dr. Arnoud van der Wel, has been with NXP since 2005, and is currently Innovation & Roadmap manager at the Analog & Mixed Signal Competence Center of NXP in Eindhoven.

Dr. Alessio Filippi

Dr. Alessio Filippi, has been with NXP since 2012, and is currently Fellow in the business line Radio Frequency processing. He is part of the Innovation team and manages and contributes to the long term program on digital algorithms and advanced waveform for automotive radar.

Prof. Marion Matters-Kammerer

Prof. Marion Matters-Kammerer is full professor, vice-dean and education program director of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology. Her area of expertise includes milimeter-wave to Terahertz integrated circuit design and systems integration as well as high-speed electronic circuits for photonic communication.

Ir. Lulu Braak-Chan

Ir. Lulu Braak-Chan graduated from Eindhoven University of Technology with a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. She joined NXP Semiconductors in 2014 in the Automotive department and is currently a Principal Systems Architect in the Automotive System Innovations team in Eindhoven, focusing on In-Vehicle Networks and ADAS/Radar.

Clara Otero Perez

Clara Otero Perez has over 20 years of experience in the automotive semiconductor industry. Clara was a leading driver behind NXP’s company-wide system strategy and drove progress across the company on a broad set of automotive system solutions and automotive innovations. Currently, she is Sr. Director of System Marketing, responsible for Vertical Marketing and System Solutions.

Bram Verhoef

Bram Verhoef pursued post-doctoral research in Computational Neuroscience at both Harvard University and The University of Chicago, after earning his PhD from KU Leuven in 2010. In 2021, he co-founded Axelera AI and was Head of Machine Learning, spearheading the optimization efforts for Axelera AI’s cutting-edge deep learning accelerator. Currently, Bram leads the customer engineering and support initiatives within Axelera AI.

Hans Ketelaars

After studying Mechanical Engineering at ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Hans Ketelaars started his career as consultant in the field of micro electronics in a startup non-profit organization. As his career proceeded, and Hans succesfully launched several start-ups he also created a startup with a focus on micro electronic developments for customers. This initiative integrated later on into Neways where he became CTO.
