Astrid is a postdoctoral researcher in the Electro-Optical Communications (ECO) group within the Quantum and Terahertz Systems track.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Astrid completed her Ph.D. in the Signal Processing Systems group within the Information and Communication Theory Lab. Her doctoral research centered on the mathematical modeling of nonlinear effects in optical fiber transmissions and developing practical digital signal processing techniques for distortion mitigation. She has experience simulating fiber optical transmissions and designing digital signal processing solutions. Before her doctoral studies, Astrid earned a B.Sc. (cum laude, 2012) and a M.Sc.
