RESEARCH PROFILE

Bruna Goveia da Rocha is an assistant professor at the Department of Industrial Design of the Eindhoven University of Technology. Her work aims to advance research-through-making by exploring samples and sample making pollination between techniques for textile innovation through a more-than-human perspective.

Emergence is an inherent aspect of design practice. To leverage it as a design resource for innovation, we must devise strategies for staying in the thick of making while getting comfortable with the idea that 'not knowing where we are headed' is not the same as being aimless.
