RESEARCH PROFILE
Irmak Ozvaris is enrolled in the Ph.D. program in the Signal Processing Systems group as a member of the Information and Communication Theory Lab. Her research focuses on Forward Error Correction (FEC) decoding algorithms for the fiber optic communication.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Irmak Ozvaris holds a B.Sc. (2015) and M.Sc. (2019) degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from and respectively. Her B.Sc. research focused on transceiver design for MIMO systems using D-BLAST, and M.Sc. research focused on polar codes; specifically its performance over fading binary symmetric channels, and convergence to Reed Muller codes.
