Krista van Zandwijk is a Doctoral Candidate within the Information Systems in the Built Environment research group, part of the Design and Decision Support Systems research program. Her research is part of the UPSCALE project, which is a collaboration between the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Technical University of Delft, and Utrecht University. The project is focused on cross-linking, tracing, and reusing Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) across circular supply networks in the construction industry.

Krista鈥檚 research interests include circularity, decentralized information systems, digital twins, the Internet of Things (IoT), collaborative digital platforms, digitalization, innovation, transition management, systems thinking, and stakeholder engagement. Her current work focuses on the development of decentralized information systems to enable the tracking, tracing, and reuse of materials within circular supply networks.
