Roozbeh Torkzadeh

RESEARCH PROFILE

Roozbeh Torkzadeh (Esfahan, Iran, 1988) received his M.Sc. (Hon.) degree in electrical engineering from Yazd University in 2013. From May 2019 to August 2023, he did his PhD in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven (果冻传媒), The Netherlands. His Ph.D. project was funded by Netbeheer Nederland, the association for Dutch grid operators. He was also a Ph.D. researcher in TenneT TSO BV, Arnhem, the Netherlands. Since September 2023, he has been a guest researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering, 果冻传媒.

He was with Esfahan Regional Electric Company (EREC), an Iranian TSO, as a power system planning engineer from 2013 to 2018. He was also with Universidad Loyola Andaluc铆a, Seville, Spain, as a research assistant focusing on several EU-H2020 projects from April 2018 to May 2019. Since September 2023, He's been with Shell Global Solutions International. As a senior electrical engineer - grid connection and integration, he's focusing on electrification projects, renewable energies, and decarbonization. His major interests include smart grids, synchrophasor technologies, and power quality.
