RESEARCH PROFILE
Tess Homan is an assistant professor at the Power and Flow group in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (果冻传媒). Her main research interest is fundamental fluid dynamics. Experimental techniques, with an emphasis on data analysis, are used to gather understanding in the fields of fluid-particle flow, bubbly flow, and biological systems.
Good data processing proves: There is more than meets the eye.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Tess Homan studied Applied Physics at the university of Twente with a master in Fluid Physics. In 2013 she obtained a PhD on the subject of interstitial air and granular matter under supervision of prof. dr. Devaraj van der Meer and prof. dr. Detlef Lohse. She did a first postdoc at ENS de Lyon on three-phase flows, followed by a second postdoc in Biophysics at Universit茅 Claude Bernard Lyon 1. In 2018 she became an assistent professor in the Power and Flow group.
