RESEARCH PROFILE

Wei Luo is a postdoctoral researcher in the Building Services Group, Unit Building Physics and Services, at Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands. Humans' needs for indoor environments are dynamic and highly individualized. His research focuses on creating precision indoor environments and smart control systems that enhance personal comfort, health, productivity, and well-being while minimizing resource consumption. His research approach integrates psychometrics, thermoregulatory monitoring, neurobehavioral assessments, and data-driven models, aiming to advance the development of intelligent, occupant-centric control and design for every individual.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

Wei Luo obtained his MSc in Heating, Gas Supply, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning Engineering from Tianjin University in 2018 and his PhD at the Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Life Sciences, Maastricht University, in 2023. His doctoral research, titled 鈥淧ersonal Environmental Control Systems: Comfort, Health, and Productivity in Offices,鈥 focused on advancing personalized indoor environments to enhance occupant well-being and performance. He has contributed to serval national and international projects on indoor environmental quality and smart buildings. As an active member of the academic community, Wei serves as an author, peer reviewer, and scientific committee member for leading academic and professional journals as well as conferences in the field of indoor environment science.
