In a broad sense, Zumbul does research on supply chain management. Her main research interest is on multi-echelon supply chains subject to demand and supply uncertainties. Her objective is to evaluate the consequences of these uncertainties and develop strategies to mitigate their impact. In addition Zumbul does research on revenue management and retail operations. In particular, she is interested in understanding how retailers’ revenue management related decisions complement and substitute the supply chain management decisions. 

Zumbul serves as the research director of the European Supply Chain Forum's Circular Program. She is also serving as the chair of ¹û¶³´«Ã½ Committee-Industrial Engineering at ¹û¶³´«Ã½.
