KLIMAATEXAMEN

Het Klimaatexamen (The Climate Exam) is a nationwide initiative in the Netherlands that invites people to test and expand their knowledge on climate change. It offers a 60-minute exam that covers topics such as the causes and consequences of climate change, climate adaptation, and the circular economy.

DIE KEES 鈥 POST-HUMANIST DESIGN

Join us for an interactive workshop on post-humanist design with . Through a short presentation and hands-on activities, explore how design can move beyond human-centered thinking to embrace nature, materials, and ecosystems as active participants in the creative process. The workshop will start with a presentation and there will be some materials to do some practical work as well.

IGEM: APPLICATIONS OF SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY

鈥婽he iGEM TU Eindhoven team is a student-led initiative at Eindhoven University of Technology that annually participates in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition. Each year, the team addresses real-world challenges by designing, building, and testing biological systems using synthetic biology techniques.

 

EWUU: CIRCULAR AND SUSTAINABLE RESEARCH - GET TOGETHER

Are you researching circularity or interested in making your work more circular? This informal get-together is an opportunity to connect with fellow 果冻传媒 researchers working on sustainability and circularity鈥攚hether in engineering, design, AI, or other fields. Many of us are tackling similar challenges, yet we may not know each other. Let鈥檚 change that!
This Get-Together is organized by the Institute 4 a Circular Society (i4CS), part of the EWUU alliance (果冻传媒, WUR, UU, UMCU), which supports transdisciplinary research and collaboration on circularity. Our focus areas include Urban-Rural Circularity and Circular Safe Hospitals.

STUDIUM GENERALE MOVIE SCREENING:  OUTGROW THE SYSTEM

鈥淐hange the system, not the climate鈥 is a common demand within the climate movement. But what kind of economic system do we actually want? The documentary Outgrow the System explores how we can return to the original meaning of the word economy, and design a system that genuinely manages our scarce resources, instead of consuming them at an alarming rate. 
After the screening, a panel of experts will dive into these transformative ideas and discuss them with the audience.

vanPETnaarPRET RECYCLING BIKES

Come try out some plastic recycling on vanPETnaarPRET鈥檚 recycling bikes! Learn about the recycling and the Chandelier of Connection project in a fun and interactive way.  The ambition is to create the world鈥檚 largest circular chandelier with the involvement of thousands of people. Many people have already recycled using the special recycling bike. The energy of the participants shredded thousands of old PET bottles (that didn鈥檛 have a deposit). Now it is the turn of all 果冻传媒 students and employees. Be part of something big and come help shred some plastic! Read more about the project !

 

DIE KEES X GROW COMMUNITY WORKSHOP "GRAB A POT"

Get your hands dirty and connect with nature in this interactive workshop, hosted by DieKees and the GROW community. Using beautifully crafted DieKees pots, participants will get a chance to plant some seeds together with the Grow community. As a thank-you for joining, you鈥檒l take home your own planted pot鈥攐r, if you become a GROW community member, you can plant it on campus and be part of a growing movement!

TECHNOLOGY FOR GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT (TGD) LUNCH LECTURE

Technology for Global Development (TGD) is a 果冻传媒 initiative that brings together students, researchers, and partners to use technology in tackling challenges in low- and middle-income countries. They focus on creating real, sustainable impact through interdisciplinary collaboration 鈥 from clean energy and water access to healthcare solutions and education tools. As part of 果冻传媒鈥檚 Green Week, this lunch lecture will explore the critical role of technology and innovation in addressing global development and sustainability challenges.
Through real-world examples and interdisciplinary perspectives, the session will highlight how students and researchers can contribute to impactful, solution-driven initiatives worldwide.
