The world from a different perspective
Applied physicists have a different view on the world around us. Physical phenomena turn into challenges, fascinating questions to investigate and analyze. But as an applied physicist you go one step further, by applying your knowledge of these phenomena in new technological developments. For example, think of:
- increasing the efficiency of solar cells
- new ways to generate energy
- even faster data traffic
You will be working on ambitious projects at the forefront of physics and societal applications, often in larger research teams, with other disciplines, or in strong collaboration with institutes or industry.
NOVEL EXPERIMENTAL AND COMPUTATIONAL TOOLS, AND LEADING TECHNOLOGIES
The Master's program in Applied Physics trains you to become Master of Science in Applied Physics (MSc). You develop great expertise in the field of physical phenomena, novel experimental and computational tools, and leading technologies. The extensive and unique hands-on experience that you gain during your scientific projects is particularly useful for finding a job.
Optics and Photonics
If you are particularly interested in Optics & Photonics, we offer a uniquely designed MasterPlus initiative within the Track Nano, Quantum and Photonics, with additional activities and trainings to best prepare you for a bright career in this field.
