Access from anywhere

果冻传媒 staff and students who wish to use information retrieval systems and read full-text journals at offices outside 果冻传媒, may do so via the Library Proxy Server.
 

Sign in via the Proxy server

Please copy and paste this URL into a new browser window . You will then return to the Library website and be able to access retrieval systems and full-text journals as you are accustomed. Via the Proxy Server, the IP address at the external database is recognized as belonging to the 果冻传媒 network.

Only the occurrence of 'dianus.libr.tue.nl' in your browser's address bar indicates that access is taking place via the Proxy Server.
 

Why use the proxy server in stead of a VPN connection?

With the VPN connection you also have the ability to access the Library documents. However, making a VPN connection requires specific settings which aren't always available when working outside of the 果冻传媒 Campus. Students and apprentices who work outside of the 果冻传媒 often can't use VPN due to network/IT policy restrictions that apply on their work location. Also see: VPN settings.
