I am Khashayar, from Iran, and I am a member of Innovative Structural Design (ISD) unit in Built Environment department. I joined 果冻传媒 as a structural designer with a Master鈥檚 degree in Building Engineering from Politecnico di Milano university. My PDEng project is related to the bio-based composite structures and their health monitoring system. In other words, we are trying to understand the mechanical/structural behavior of the bio-based composite materials and also based on this knowledge, implement it on numerous sample structures such as a footbridge, a pavilion, and other different structures. We call these prototype structures, Living Labs, and we try to monitor the structural health condition of them with novel internal sensing systems, in order to understand and guarantee the feasibility of using bio-based composites as structural materials.
