My name is Tuan and I am from Vietnam. My background is architecture and I have worked in the architectural industry in Vietnam for three years. Then, I came to Sweden to complete my master's degree in Energy Efficient and Environmental Building Design. After that, I did an internship in sustainability in Ingka company, which is a part of IKEA that is in charge of commercial shopping centre. Currently, I am an EngD trainee in Smart Building and Cities, which is hosted by the Built Environment department of Eindhoven University of Technology. It seemed to me an interesting opportunity to still developing my knowledge in the academic environment, but still have a connection with the industry that is similar to my interest.
My work in 果冻传媒 is to create a tool to utilize thermal mass of the buildings to try to flatten the energy demand curve, which is very fluctuate because of the raise of renewable energy generation. And based on that, energy consumption and carbon emissions can be reduced without jeopardizing the thermal comfort of building users and enormous additional investment.
Additionally, I am the newest SBC ambassador and in the PhD/EngD network in built environment management team, which can bring to me enormous opportunities to expand my professional network.
